And that's exactly what it is. Artists on wheels.
A concert like you've never experienced before. We don't just put a band on a stage and expect you to stand around. We pull talented musicians behind a bike and expect you to follow!
What is it actually?
We pull a stage behind a cargo bike with live musicians! You ride with us on your own bike, listening through our wireless headphones. It's different, it's unique, it's weird, but it's so much fun.
First we shall introduce the area in a little more detail. The history of the airport and what will happen to it since the last plane landed on 08.11.2020.
And then our in-flight entertainment programme begins. We may not always tell you who is playing. We may not even tell you where we are flying. But if you follow us, you will experience something you will never forget.
When?
Sundays.
18.05., 22.06., 06.07., & 03.08. => at 5pm and 8pm
24.08. => at 4.30pm & 7.30pm
07.09. => at 4pm and 7pm
Please note: It is important to be on time, at least 15 minutes BEFORE the start. The meeting point is outside the secured airport area and you will be taken to your check-in gate in groups.
Unfortunately, if you are late, you will not be able to participate.
What sort of Music?
The genre is not important to us - the main thing is that the band is good! The lineup will be published closer to the performance dates, or not!
Duration & Distance:
Each concert is approx. 75min long, including a break for photos and to relax.
The total distance of the ride is about 8km.
Language:
The events will be moderated in both German and English. Thge language of the artists depends on who is playing.
Location:
We ride on the former TEGEL airport , which is closed to the public. Here we focus on the area managed by Grün Berlin GmbH, the Tegeler Stadtheide. First we go along the edge, then onto the taxiway, and as a finale onto the runway.

Last year, these ArtistsOnWheels concerts were 100% funded by Grün Berlin, so we could offer them to you for free. Unfortunately, due to cuts in cultural funding in Berlin, this is no longer possible and these events can only be partially funded. However, we have still managed to keep the price for these events significantly lower than they are actually worth!

By booking a ticket, you agree to the safety instructions below AND you agree to bring a safety vest and your own bike. If you do NOT have a bike but still want to participate, please contact us. We may be able to help you.

These concerts are full of surprises and are something you won't soon forget.
And as if that wasn't exciting enough - the "venue" for this unique experience is the runway of the former Tegel International Airport - actually closed to the public, we have the opportunity to experience it exclusively. For more information about the location, click HERE

IMPORTANT
THE SITE IS PARTIALLY A MILITARY RESTRICTED AREA.
THE GROUP MAY NOT BE LEFT AT ANY TIME.
IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO LEAVE THE ASPHALTED PATHS.
If you do not follow these rules, you will be removed from the premises by security personnel.
Fitness & Charging:
The route extends to just under 8 km. A basic fitness is assumed. especially if you come with rollerblades / roller skates. But we will have a short break in the middle. E-bikes / scooters should still have at least this amount of kilometers of battery capacity.
Bike Maintanance:
You should be able to ride a bike or similar safely, but your bike should also be roadworthy. A bike breakdown during the tour should be avoided in advance at all costs, as it ties up security personnel.
Photos:
As stated above, you must stay with the group at all times. This means stopping to take photos is NOT permitted unless we say so. Don't worry, we have 2 planned photo stops along the way! You are also welcome to take photos or film while riding, but please be careful.
Weather:
It can get quite hot on the runway when the sun is shining. Check the weather in advance and prepare accordingly. In case of rain, we will decide depending on the situation. In case of continuous rain, we will cancel the event.
Children:
Children are only allowed to ride along if they can keep up with the group and follow the rules. Parents are responsible for their children. We recommend that all children under the age of 12 ride with their parents in a cargo bike or trailer, but the decision is up to you! If you are unsure, contact us: psst@silentmove.berlin
Other:
All participating guests must wear a safety vest. Please bring one with you. If you don't have one, ask your friends (every car has one) or contact us - we have a small number available on site.
You are not required to wear a helmet.
